Serving Connecticut, the Northeast and the World!
Shepard’s offers a broad spectrum of services to meet our client’s internet customer’s needs. We can provide rapid fulfillment of orders for our customers to compete with the “need it now” environment. We provide fulfillment services for companies locally as well as the Northeast and Worldwide. We can pick and pack by the unit or case and ship these goods in packaging that is the most economical for our customers. There is no customer that is too small or too large. Shepard’s takes pride in working with start-up businesses without burdening them with large monthly minimum charges.
Shepard’s can offer EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and API (Application Programming Interface) services to smoothly transition information to/from customers or their e-market place and Shepard’s WMS (Warehouse Management System) for accurate and up to date information. In today’s e-Commerce business this is a necessity to sell only what is on hand.
Shepard’s WMS is designed with flexibility in mind. Customers may access their live inventory balances and run a variety of reports as well. The live inventory look-in allows customers to see the balances of their products in stock to proactively plan for replenishments. Shepard’s WMS can track customer goods by lot number, date, serial number and any other specific method that is required.
Shepard’s can offer bulk product storage and distribution services with a variety of material handling equipment. Basic product movement such as full pallets received in and shipped out can be offered at affordable prices. This is especially helpful to companies who need to provide “just in time” bulk inventory fulfillment for their customers especially in the Northeast. If necessary, product on pallets can be re-worked prior to them being shipped out.
Shepard’s can provide cross-docking services for customers. When product arrives on the dock, Shepard’s will set-aside inventory that will ship within 24 hours, as long as cross dock orders are provided in advance. This helps customers avoid a storage fee on their inbound products. However there are strict guidelines to qualify for cross docking services. Timely order fulfillment is a key in today’s business world of logistics.
Shepard’s is very adept at offering kitting/re-packing services for our customers. We have experience building promotional “kits” for our customers with various products placed in specialized packaging. Shepard’s can offer flat rate pricing for our customer so that they can budget accordingly. We also offer necessary re-labelling or re-packing services based upon client customer’s needs.
Returns are a normal part of fulfillment and Shepard’s offers a variety of options for client’s reverse logistic needs. We can inspect qualified returned goods and either place back in stock or set aside for our customer’s review. We can offer shrink wrapping services for re-sellable goods and if product needs disposal/destruction we can arrange for that service as well.
Shepard’s recognizes the value of our client’s goods that pass through our distribution facility. We will inspect client’s products when they arrive for exterior carton damage and notate accordingly on the shipment documents. We will store them in a safe and dry environment. Every item will be managed through Shepard’s WMS for location in the warehouse and the product receipt confirmation will be sent to our customer. When orders for client’s product are received we will endeavor to fulfill them to the quickest of our ability while still offering quality control systems to ensure accuracy. We then communicate back to clients with confirmation of the goods being shipped with the appropriate tracking numbers. Our goal is to offer great service and to keep client’s customers completely satisfied with prompt and accurate order fulfillment. Our customer’s success is ultimately our success. This is why Shepard’s is recognized as one of the premier fulfillment centers located in the Northeast while providing exceptional service globally.
